MICHAEL HAS HIS ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, LIBERAL ARTS, BUILDING TRADES, THEOLOGY BIBLICAL STUDIES, COMPLETED COURSES IN SUBSTANCE ABUSE, ANGER MANAGEMENT & OTHER SELF HELP CLASSES. HE WANTS TO HELP ADDICTS AND BECOME A SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR. MICHAEL HAS PASSED ALL HIS DRUG SCREENS, ATTENDS CHURCH, HE HAS EDUCATED HIMSELF IN ALL AREAS TO BE A BETTER CITIZEN IN SOCIETY AND MAKE BETTER CHOICES, HE HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY THE SERENITY HOUSE UPON HIS RELEASE & IS LOOKING FORWARD TO LIVING THE REST OF HIS LIFE AS A FUNCTIONAL CITIZEN IN SOCIETY. ive been reading through the stories people are posting and its clear so many of you understand how much michael has worked to change his life. im currently putting together all the course certificates and support letters to make sure the board sees exactly how ready he is to come home.

im honestly blown away by how many people are stepping up for michael. seeing this much traction reminds me that people really believe in second chances and growth.

Is so like the government to change a law but not revisit any inmate who could could be affected by that law.... this is a travesty and should be rectified on all accounts
Mike and I never liked each other,,some of it his doing,some of it mine,but if I seen him on the street today I would put my hand out and hope he would shake it, I would like to see him get out and show that drugs are not a part of who he is now,,12 years in prison is hard time,hes not a boy now he is a man.I wish him well,he has good family support out here
I believe Michael has put a plan together to be a better contribution to the community when he returns. He’s done time & worked on educating himself in many areas. I believe he’d be a better community member now than in another 38 years.
I have known this boy since he was like 9 or 10 years old and never have I seen an effort to better himself.. I have to say if the boys already been accepted thru serenity house then by all means he should have that chance to be better and to help the people that are exactly where he is as.. PLEASE GIVE HIM THE CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

This is ridiculous to keep anyone locked up this long.You can murder and not get that many years. I know he’s done some wrong doings, but who hasn’t?It’s time to let him out to live his life as a good person.I’m his aunt and I care

I don’t believe the sentence fit his crime . Drug addiction is a medical / mental problem . He needed help more than just thrown away . . I believe Michael has rehabilitated himself and deserves this chance .
