We fully support the closure. We have been coal rolled with our young child by large pickup trucks pulling cattle trailers sitting outside at bonfire - terrible experience!

This intermittent street closure adds vibrancy to downtown. The town is small so parking on the periphery is not a huge burden. It also removes traffic and emissions from the business district. Lastly, walking and biking are healthy.

The street closure creates a charming town-center atmosphere that people from our Valley and abroad go out of their way to visit. If anything, we should explore ways to expand the closure, to include more businesses and local merchants, while still maintaining our vital traffic thoroughfare.

The closer of main last summer was one of the brighter spots about living in this community. Although I'm relatively new here, in the places I've lived where pedestrian zones like this proposal have been in place, it's been easier to build and participate in community. I understand and acknowledge the concerns of businesses and those who need close parking for access reasons, but I think this community can rally around these issues to ensure they're addressed in a positive way.
