A clear channel of communication between the player-base collectively (your customers) and the developers is a sensible move. There are multiple examples of this as a *good thing* in the software development community, when done properly.

a Perm. Test Server sounds pretty reasonable. (Well other games do have permanent beta servers.)

Also take a note from some of the most successful games of all time. Quit with the microtransactions and let modders in. Some of the most successful games have become that way because of mods, such as skins. You'd sell a ton more games. If you sold updates every 6 months as dlc you'd recoup your losses.
