5 year long play already, and will play 10 years more at least. But I have to admit : no update without us please, we'll be happy to be a tester, and won't be happy to endure issues

Frontiers financials were still decent last I saw, I'm sure they can afford to hire more testers, or some SVN training courses.

Please frontier, in the long term this is way more profitable for you even if it requires some investment upfront. We hope that with such great numbers in your latest quarterly release continue to be as big as that or more.

I love the game but some basic testing would really help this process a lot. Everyone I know who plays this game loves it and that is why we complain so much about the bugs. We know it can be better. We volunteer our time to bug test on the live server and write up reports for it already so why not let us do it on a test server where it can make the live patches better? In a game this big the more volunteers you have on top of your paid testing team the better off you'll be. A huge portion of your fan base are even professional programmers. We may not understand your code but we understand how to do technical writing and bug reporting. You don't need the source code to be able to identify root cause and effect in the game which a paid development team can then narrow to a specific spot in the code without revealing proprietary information to the community.

For every idiot ranting on the forums, there are hundreds who are concerned. I hope this petition makes Frontier stand up, take notice, and discuss the next steps with the community.
Fix it!
This is a good initiative.
