There is tremendous value for on-site SRO. In addition to these, they assist our kids to navigate a pretty turbulent time.

I feel much safer sending my kids to schools with SROs in place! I wouldn't hesitate to switch to a school with them if our school cancelled the program, even if it meant moving! Keep our children safe!!

As a former student of PSD )growing up we had no SRO officers in the buildings) and a parent of two Boys that went through PSD, I can see the difference between the two situations. SRO officers should stay in the school buildings!

Police can help protect lives in this crazy gun age, it’s also good for challenging kids to have an established relationship with law enforcement in a safe environment like school

The SROs are so important in our schools. They build trust with our students, help them when needed and are a familiar face to talk to when they are uncertain about a situation they are in/ were in. They can get to the right resources right away. I know especially girls that have sought their advice and help when they have been inappropriately contacted, touched etc. and they wouldn’t have dreamed of calling the police. But now they got help because the SRO was right there. Please do not remove them because a few think police is bad.

Removing School Resource Officers would be a huge mistake. It jeopardizes the safety of both the students and staff.

We had a very positive experience with the SRO at Kennard Middle School. He was a great resource and educated us as to the dangers of the online chat rooms, especially regarding "sexting". I believe only a small group of activists are responsible for this underhanded attempt to remove the SROs from our schools and feel they do not represent the large majority of parents and students.

SROs interact with the kids and are an integral part of teaching and showing the kids that all cops are NOT bad. They secure the school when needed. They are ABSOLUTELY necessary.

Positive relationships between SROs and students in the everyday environment of the school helps kids see them as people they can trust, not just as law enforcement. Please keep SROs in our schools!

The SRO program has been very successful and should be continued. The officers are a resource for the kids, teachers and parents.

SRO's should not be intimidating or scary to any child who has been taught to respect law & authority. They are a fabulous resource for teaching kids that police are here to protect and serve. Keep the SRO's!!
