Community Letter of Support for School Resource Officers (SROs) in PSD Schools

Asking SROs to leave schools, yet remain close to respond is a slap in the face to our law enforcement.

I absolutely support keeping SROs in our schools in order to maintain safety and develop relationships between students and law enforcement.

I fully support the presence of SROs in our schools.

School children need all the protection the schools can and should provide; especially in today's society with people committing horrible crimes and not having any consequences for their ations.

Please keep the SRO’s

Shame on our board for even entertaining this.

I support SRO’s in our school system. They are there to protect the students and staff. If not them than who? The answer of helping students avoid policing is not by taking the police away. If you want to live in a place where there is no rule of law pretty much any third world county will work. Take a step up, have accountability, instill the best values into your children and learn from your mistakes and you shouldn’t be having a problem with any SRO’s.

It is disgraceful that PSD is considering removing SRO's from schools - shame on any and all parties that think our children don't deserve protection!

I support our school community officers.

SRO Officer Pink was great with the kids when I taught at Lesher.

Please keep common sense and security over caving to extreme politics. Keep school resource officers. They are an essential part of our school communities.

The SRO program is so important in our schools. Please keep this program going!

School officers serve as safety for our children and provide positive interaction with young people to break down barriers with police.

The SRO’s are tremendously helpful to the students, the parents, and the community. Don’t eliminate them due to one incident.

Please keep SRO.They set a good example,help students in ways community does not always see. We need them. And they offer safety and value to every school.

Please keep and even add more SRO’S to protect and keep safe my grandchildren.

I fully support having SRO in schools. We unfortunately live in a time where we can’t be naive and think the teachers and students can fend for themselves if a catastrophic event were to occur. The teachers are there to teach and should not have to add decent and protect to their list of job expectations.

With all the school shootings, how could you possibly think of putting our children at more risk?
