I do not want to see a "gun shop" in Nauck. Perhaps a "starbuck's" instead this idea is counter productive to our neighborhood

With all the improvements happening in this neighborhood, the presence of a gun shop does not impact such improvement.

This can NOT be allowed - we'll chain ourselves to the building if we have to. Warning to this potential shop owner - go elsewhere.

What is the purpose of guns except for killing? And why is that a good thing?

Michael Griffin is no longer in control of the Townes of Shirlington Condos. He is the owner / landlord of the retail space under the condo community. The two property are separately managed and maintained.

This is a public safety issue, not a matter of aesthetics.

The irrational phobia is because I don't want a gun store sitting near my property. I do not want a Gun store to be taking retail place that will not ENHANCE the value of the community or for that matter my own property. It's also located near two churches and a damn Elementary school. Do you actually believe this type of venue will attract future homeowners? Are you even a homeowner? Think logically in how this will effect the value of your house. I have no issues with guns or people who carry guns. What I have issue is the effect a gun store will on future retail stores around the area and the resale value of my property.

I don't live in Nauck but, as a parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, I'm in the neighborhood regularly. South Arlington has enough crime already. There's no need to make it easier to acquire weapons.

I don't want ANY guns sold in Arlington, much less near a school.
