No No No apartment building at pilot butte! Bend has seen enough bad political decisions concerning growth encroaching on nature. Get out of town.

Highway 20 to 97 is already overcrowded. This is horrible planning, obviously pushed by developers and unsophisticated city government that is producing another American eye sore. Look at the two new overpasses and ugly round- about in SE Bend. It looks like it belongs in Albania and has made traffic flow worse. These people need to be stopped and more intelligent folks put in their place.

Really...four apartment buildings in that area? That street/area cannot handle that volume of traffic and/or people. The city definitely needs to re-think this decision.

From a 37 year member of the Bend community, this is a very poor decision by city planners! Please reconsider protection of our iconic Bend landscape! There are more appropriate properties for the kind of multi-family structures proposed! Please protect our park spaces protected!

We urgently need more affordable housing in Bend. There is no question of that. However, I would like to have this reopened until the issue of traffic flow is properly discussed. I live on Savannah and this area cannot handle the residents. All street parking is already taken and the main exit by Hertz and the Mattress Factory is always blocked with delivery trucks. The city will need to add a light and widen nw arnett way. I believe the issues about the traffic and view of the Butte are valid as well. We desperately need housing but I see no reason why it has to be right specifically.

This project, along with the SE affordable housing and SE overpasses without a SE exit are some of the most damaging planning projects I've seen here. This town is being ruined by poor planning. Slums will develop at Pilot Butte like it has at China Hat and 97S.

We need to preserve the reason people want to live or visit without them actually moving here.

What is wrong with you City of Bend? It isn't ghastly enough that OSU is going in on the west side and our water bills are so high that we can't afford water? Why?

I believe it talks bout a variance to the height of the building but, you're right, no mention of four stories and no map showing where they're going or their length. It's nothing like the apartments across the street which people tend to think are okay.
