We do not need this type of growth in Bend. We need jobs. Getting to expensive to live here. The roads can not handle the constant traffic now. That would mean more bicyclists to using the roads to. The city doesn't even maintain the roads now. Stop the growth I have grown up here and the changes that have been made have been some good but alot bad

The developer has plans for the street that the city didn't know about because it sounds like they forgot. Bill asked about it and the city sent us a diagram of what the developer plans to do. It's not enough, but at least they are trying. It will be interesting to see what happens when Bill and the developer start talking. Up to now it's been emails and it's gone very well. Bill says he's learning more from the developer than he is from the city. I'll try to post the diagram tonight so everyone can see. Like I say, don't expect to be blown away but realize the developer only needs to follow code or seek a variance. They're trying to do more than that. That's why talking should be a good thing.

I agree, the street is already clogged with overflow parking from nearby apartments, adding more high-density housing will only make matters worse.

Would like to see the city plan for the already congested roadways and better bike access before it adds more housing.

The parks and green spaces are what makes Bend such a special place. Pilot Butte is unique and should be protected from any development that could cause possible damage.

Leave the butte alone. That's an area of Bend we need to leave preserved.

I walk up the butte several times per week. The access streets are already too busy and clogged with cars. The butte hosts lots of activities for children. The added density could impact safety of the children and other users at the butte. The apartments need to add enough parking of two cars per unit since usually two working adults live in each unit so renters do not park on the streets nor in the butte lot.

Could likely support an apt complex at that location. But not 4 stories high and a somewhat smaller number. The added traffic is too much as it is planned and too tall.
