Ever since I was very little, Pilot Butte has been a great small hike to a great view of Bend and is a monument to our city.

I agree we need more housing in Bend, but I don't think it's necessary to build in this location.

Pilot butte is a beautiful view. Why cover it up with housing? There are so many other places homes can be built.

Save the Butte! This has been my home my whole life, born and raised and the butte is sentimental.... Not just to me, but anyone and everyone from here!

Parking is already an issue on the street entering the park. Preserve the park setting and natural habitat .

Me and my wife live very close to the butte and this would only add to the congestion that already exists.

Please keep our city beautiful and recognize why people move here in the first place. It isn't because they're looking for big city life or hundreds of apartment buildings with some trees around. Its an intense beauty we have here and its our job to protect it.

There is no way Linnea drive can handle this amount of traffic! People living in the Commons already have to park along the street because there is no where to park. It is already to crowded! Bend needs more housing however this is a horrible location for it.

Please do not do this! This will have a sheer impact on one of the only places on the east side with any sort of nature/scenic view! The east side had planet of room!!

Don't build any more housing in this overcrowded and delicate area.

The need for more housing in Bend is indisputable. Is putting it here as proposed a good idea? There have to be better options.

These 4-story apartments do not belong in most places in Bend and especially NOT here!

You sum it up well. This wasn't on the developer's website the last time we looked. We'll look again now. We have been told it's not exactly affordable. "Luxury" is a word we have heard often. Marketed to students? Yes, we have heard that. How many students can you get in a one bedroom apartment and how many cars will they have per apartment? It could easily go beyond Bend's average of 2 cars per household. If they have a party where do all the guests park? How many parties might you have on an average weekend if it is mostly students? The questions are endless and that is why you need to inform people and hold public meetings. With the city getting well over two million dollars up front from this development alone, you would think some flyers and staff time for a few meetings might be something they could afford.
