Rather than "develop" this property for additional residential units, let's find the funding to continue park development; additional playing fields, walking paths (especially for handicapped use), picnic/play areas for families, etc., would serve the existing populations much better than by crowding even more people into this unique park area. Where would additional local populations go for space or recreation, or parking? They would be - literally - living on the only space left for those things.

As a current resident of the Commons at Pilot Butte I am already dealing with unavailable parking. The current parking is insufficient for the residents, all guests must park on the street, which will be at least doubled with the proposed building. These apartments are not affordable housing and will do nothing to alleviate affordable housing shortage. The staff are bullying tenants into submission with the threat of not renewing your lease. These people are greedy! I will be leaving soon

City council is west side heavy and have no vested interest in the butte and surrounding area. How would you feel if this was Shevlin Park?

These apartments are terrible, the new owners are ruthless and do not care about anything but money.

I agree that housing units placed in this area are not good. Definitely bad planning .

This outrageous. It makes no sense to put it there. It is a Bend landmark. I can see the butter from my house, but it would diminish my view and possibly property value.
