Build tall buildings downtown.

Both the solar farms and these apt complexes choice of locations are not appropriate. Why are "exceptions to regulations (EFU land & 4 stories) being allowed on the East side of Bend?

Pilot Butte is a Bend icon and provides in-town recreation for many who cannot travel to the outward areas. Please reopen the process to ensure that the park/Butte will not suffer further degradation.

These proposed buildings will obscure the view which is loved by everyone in Bend. There will be increased traffic in an area where there is already too much . This will go against all common sense about entrances to parks. Bend has had always sensible plans for the use and look of their parks. Why this now?

The new apartments can be built East or South or North of town, leave that area for expansion of something useful to the park!

Please do not put any 4-story buildings next to Pilot Butte State Park, it is a famous Bend landmark. This high impact change would alter the serene beauty of our amazing park!

The developer requested a variance which they have every right to do. The big question on everyone's mind is why did Bend approve the variance especially when (1) the State Park System had already expressed concerns about the effects of high numbers of people living right next to the Butte and (2) they had the developer's plans for the main building being within feet of the property line?

If the code states no higher than 3 stories why is the city allowing 4? City managers making their own rules?

A terrible idea. Honor and defend our city codes. This is a perfect example of why we have such codes. Listen to the residents of this town.

There are plenty of places to build affordable housing in Bend. Feet near a state park shouldn't be one of them.

This is not a good idea!:(

Too many people for the area. Build less impact housing. Or wouod rather see it go commercial. Own property and have a business that this could impact in very near proximity.

Pilot Butte is a treasure for the city of Bend and should be treated as such. To put even more pressure on the park and it's attraction is ridiculous and insulting to the residents of Bend and those that wish to visit.

The history part is what gets me too. This is one of the oldest State Parks and the history dates back to well before that happened. It used to be outside the city and then the city grew around it. Where is the respect for what it used to be? Who is making sure it keeps its dignity?

Preserve pilot butte. City of bend is just money hungry. They don't look out in the best interest of the community let alone a piece if history.

While they're at it they should be helping the State Park. You know all those apartments with balconies overlooking the park are going to cost more.
