I signed the petition, but how does my husband, Gil Gutierrez, sign. He does not have an email address?

The Butte has already been intruded on by development enough!

Four story apartments in this area are not appropriate - that's as mild as I can word it. Please reconsider.

If you are going to build something you shouldn't get special treatment. This building should be more inline with what is around it.

WooHoo! 100 signatures and counting in just over 24 hours. :Let's see if we can hit 200 soon. The fastest way that happens is for people to email friends and family asking them to sign. I know that's a lot to ask but time may be short. Bill says he hasn't gotten any answers from City Planning since last week. They had told him that although they had made their decisions, it would take nearly eight weeks to finalize everything. I'm hoping they didn't catch wind of this and fast track things. Seems unlikely, but you never know. I've got to start meeting with civic leaders asap. Thank you everyone. This is working out well for it being the first time we ever tried anything like this.

Oregon State Parks has designated Pilot Butte as a Scenic Viewpoint. We have an obligation to preserve this Scenic Viewpoint for future generations. We need to carefully evaluate the negative consequences that this proposed development would have on this Scenic Viewpoint.

A city that would allow subdivisions around Shevlin park is capable of promoting high rise apartments adjacent to the butte. There are livability factors which make some cities desirable and these factors should be protected, or the city becomes less desirable. Bend has lost much already that newcomers are not aware of. The loss is accelerating. You should re-think your approval of this project.

High Density Housing at this location needs to be reconsidered with public input. Traffic, construction congestion, and long term harm to the park and trailhead users should be given top priority.

Four story buildings and the increased auto traffic will greatly hamper our view of, and our access to our beloved Pilot Butte. Please take this into your consideration before giving your final building approval.

Not opposed to housing but don't agree with four story and how all of this will affect the access to the park. Also, what about infrastructure such as roads, sewer and water.

This is a very poor idea on so many levels. Stop and think of the impact this housing will make-unintended consequences!!!! Save our park and the unique opportunities it gives all in the community!!! Think this through!!!!
