The emails I send to the network are met with nothing but silence and dismissive form letters. It is exhausting to keep pushing when they refuse to acknowledge how much this story means to us. I am not stopping though because we deserve to know what happens next.

Sanditon ending is heartbreaking and so unlike anything Jane Austen would end with. Just saw a documentary on Austen and it said that she wrote about happy endings. Thus Sanditon needs a happy ending for Sidney and Charlotte to stay true to Jane Austen.
Was totally obsessed after the first episode. The characters made me Laugh and cry throughout all of season one. Theo James was as good in Sanditon as Adian Turner was in Poldark. Please make season 2! I've got to see what happens between Charlotte Haywood and Sidney Parker. I'm so heart broken
The first season presented itself a very un-Austen like ending. I hope very much that a second season gives itv and Davies a chance at redemption for the sake of Austen’s novel and the shows fans. Do these characters justice and give them a happy ending like it should have been.
Loved this.... Totally get that it was an adaptation (a modern take on Austen) and that she changes him into a man that would want to save his family from bankruptcy..... But another series please. Not since the BBC's P&P have I been so gripped.
There is so much more potential in these characters and various plot lines. Sanditon blends together Austen with relevant contemporary themes, which attracts a more diverse viewership. Give it another season (or more!).

I'm disappointed to read Sanditon may not continue. I, like many others, assumed Covid 19 was delaying the filming of Season 2 and am surprised it was cancelled due to low viewership. The quality of the production isn't in doubt, so who is to blame? Lack of advertising?
