I am disgusted that there has been no consultation with the residents that live near to where this new site is proposed. I am signing contracts on Friday to move into a house oposite there !!! DISGUSTED NEW RESIDENT

These plans cannot happen!! Where are the children going to go to school, alot of children in Colton cannot get into Colton School as it is also Austhorpe. The traffic is horrendous through Colton as it! Crime would go up in the area and house prices will plummet! People work hard to live in a area like this! Colton cannot take another lot of housing!

These plans are ill thought through and will devastate the Colton community. I understand from govt literature that it is "inappropriate" to use green belt land. Yet both of the plans which impact Colton are based on its use.

There is already a Travellers site at Cottingley Springs. Why do we need another one?

Schools, GP's, Dental Surgeries!! We already struggle to get places, unless you propese to build another of each then put a stop to this ridiculous plan. Are any local councillors, elected MP's etc affected??

Full consultation with residents should take place fully advertised and local. Green belt land need not be used.

I strongly oppose the plans to build additional housing and site a gypsy site close to residential houses. There are enough cars causing congestion on bullerthorpe lane and using colton as a means of cutting through to avoid hold ups. Also are the council going to offer compensation to residents when their property values fall which they will if gypsies move in the area.

The proposal to build 165 homes on top of those planned for Thorpe Park are ill conceived in the least, the Colton area is already suffering from an enormous amount of traffic congestion not to mention that schools and health centres are already struggling . Then to 'sneak' in 4 pitches for Travellers amid this proposals on green belt land is worthy of the best Spin Doctor award!

Houses maybe, but a travelers site! Not a chance. Absolutely ridiculous idea. Get a grip!

It is ridiculous to consider a traveller site in this location as there is no infrastructure in place, the site would be located on green belt in an area of natural beauty. People have worked hard to live in this location.

Colton already has too many houses it used to be classed as a village and has already become an estate! A gypsy site is not acceptable . They're known as travellers so keep travelling please! If they want to have a permanent site buy a house and pay a mortgage council tax etc
