I respectfully object to the proposals due to the impact on the surrounding area of green belt and additional traffic in an already conjested area

I have no problem with the current plans to expand the housing however I STRONGLY oppose the 4 pitches reserved for traveller sites. This is an affluent area of the city - a prime reason I chose to live here and raise my family here. I do not want to feel unsafe in my surroundings due to the proximity of travellers to my house, nor do I wish my child to be educated with them.
I'm sorry to tar with the same brush, however, there's been many settling a of travellers in and around this area (on a temporary basis) and in ALL instances the crime and antisocial behaviour has risen enormously, if they are located on a permanent basis, this will mean a permanent increase in crime and antisocial behaviour and a dramatic in the price of the properties people have invested in.

we already can not get all of our children into the local colton schools, how will an extra 165 houses help this situation? Also the road network can not cope with rush hour in this area.

Colton is a village that does not want a proposed gypsy site on bullerthorpe lane along with the proposed building of a housing estate on the fields at the bottom of school lane. Colton is already experiencing high volumes of traffic cutting through to avoid the congestion at the junction of bullerthorpe lane and colton road east. Colton has only one primary school that is already oversubscribed and does not have the facilities to accommodate additional houses. Are the council prepared to compensate home owners when their properties de-value when the proposed gypsy site goes ahead????

We had the travellers staying illegally in our local park and in several other places. They left an absolute mess. We do not want them. Let them get homes and pay for services through council tax like we all have to .

The roads in the area are already very congested. People have paid significant amounts to buy properties in that area only to find their homes will be devalued. There has been no consultation with local residents and businesses who have already suffered negative impacts from illegal traveller sites.
