I live in the new houses at temple point built by strata. I'm disgusted by these plans. The traveller site will be over the road from my house. It's common knowledge that houses prices fall when travellers are near and i haven't worked hard all my life to lose equity in my house due to this. To add insult to injury you want to use my tax money (which I presume the travellers don't pay) to fund this plan and build roads / paths for them! The area is a local beauty spot which i regularly use to walk my dog. The congestion on bullethorpe lane is terrible as it is without adding hundreds of houses and a traveller site. Before I'm accused of any form of racism, I would like to point out that I have no problems with travellers, it's the perception 99% of the population have about travellers that is going to damage the areas reputation and drop out house prices. Disgusting and no consideration for local residents!
