I am highly disappointed that such a lovely area is being considered for this proposed move. Having just moved to this area from an area which was previously subject to a similar move I know the issues and problems that local residents could face should this go ahead. Colton is bursting with heavy traffic as is, and infrastructure is struggling. Bullerthorpe lane and surrounding road are already extremely dangerous and cause hazards to locals who are wanting to enter the beautiful countryside public footpaths. It is with deep regret that this is currently even being considered and will simply harm this wonderful area of Leeds.

I have recently started horse riding around Temple Newsam. There is a lot of history on this site it would be a shame to loose it when the building could be done elsewhere

My daughter rides around Temple Newsam which prevents her from going on roads. If this goes ahead this will cause my daughter being at risk to have an accident with the fast pacing cars that use Bullerthorpe Lane

The reasons I object are; loss of green belt which will have a major impact on local wildlife, traffic is already extremely bad in and around Colton so further vehicles will only add to this and concerns over road safety. Facilities; Colton primary school is already oversubscribed with 127 applications this year for only 30 places, also only one doctors surgery, no dentist, etc.

The plans for this new housing development MUST NOT go ahead. This beautiful natural habitat will be lost forever. The infrastructure will not be able to cope with the increased amount of traffic The local school and Doctors surgery are running at capacity. This is not a good idea. Build them in the Aire valley where they can feed into the new trunk road.

Colton, local roads and services can not cope with any more development, school will suffer and it will be come almost impossible to drive, don't go head with these plans.

travellers etc should buy their own homes and pay council tax and pay utilities like householders do. apart from this a travellers site off bullerthorpe lane area would cause untold chaos and problems to local area and their residents homes. why build this in a lovely residential area.

once again our councellors think more of travellers than council tax payers. people will be put off visiting templenewsam from bullerthorpe lane end.

Will ruin the colton village. No good will come of this there will be litter and more crime round the area, I live here and want my daughter to grow up in a decent place and there's not many left in leeds so don't ruin where I live!!

Colton Road is already used as a cut through by non residents and causes un-necessary traffic - particularly at rush hour times, getting out of Colton is already hard enough. 165 additional houses, with an average of 2 cars per house means we could have at least another 330 cars added to the traffic through Colton. We moved to Colton in 1994, it is already nearly un-recognisable with the added, on going infrastructure and houses. 100% against the plan!

No way. Colton has enough houses and people need every bit of a great place like temple newsam, parts of it shouldnt be needed to be built over. Temple Newsam should be a bigger woodland area, if anything!

Surely more diversity in Colton can't be a bad thing? Many people my age can't afford to live there. The area is becoming a bit elite, if you ask me. Some affordable homes would be a good thing.

Live in the surrounding area, totally object to the plans, believe that if HS2 goes ahead cross gates station will become a good feeder station, and boost local assists and business, agreeing to the plans will not only scare investors but will also decrease house prices
