We need to put a stop to this. Nothing good can come out of the proposed sites. It will ruin our beautiful village of colton.

The school is heavily over subscribed, half of Colton children already go elsewhere. The land that is the proposed build site is what is keeping Colton a village. This is land that has been worked for years and is still used as such, do not destroy our heritage and our community.

I live in Colton, close to Meynell Road. I am appalled to hear these plans and want to express my concerns. The roads in and around Colton are incredibly congested, not only during the week but also at the weekend. In addition the local schools are already at full capacity, with local children unable to gain access to their first choice school. The green belt in East Leeds is very quickly diminishing, and it is a disgrace that the local council are not doing more to protect it. Brown field sites should and must be priority for development. I am also concerned about house prices in the area. I chose to live in Colton due to the rural feel and as such paid a premium for the house we purchased.

We have worked hard to enable us to pay the premium to live in a pleasant area such as Colton and these plans could have a negative affect on the community, living environment and accessibility whilst also impacting on the value of existing houses in the area.

This is supposed to be a conservation area so much so that we can't even cut a tree down in our own gardens without permission yet they can suddenly decide to build 100+ houses. Changing the rules when it suits is not acceptable!

I strongly object to the proposed traveller site at Colton. This is too close to private housing estates and will affect the house prices and also there are many families living in this area

More unnecessary use of GREEN BELT land. Time for unwanted building to be spread around the City. Why always east or south Leeds.?

This area cannot cope with more traffic, the main road through Colton has already had to have traffic calming measures installed, what effect will another 165 house have? There should be no building on any green belt land at all until all other options in the city have been exhausted.

Colton can not cope with any more traffic. Weekends mornings and evenings roads are grid locked.
