Why on green belt ? There's plenty of brownfield sites in Leeds

The area proposed for the new houses is scenic green belt and the historic roots of Colton being farmland and fields will be lost forever if these fields and views become rows and rows of houses. The infrastructure of roads around Colton cannot deal with the current volume of traffic particularly Sainsbury's roundabout and the whole of Colton Lane including access on to the Ring Road roundabout at the top of Colton Lane. Recent road alterations have done nothing to change the volume or speed of traffic and it is still used as a rat run. More people will die. There are not enough schools and shops to support the increase in population. Getting out of the Sainsbury's car park alone can take over 15 minutes because of the poor road layout. Colton infrastructure was never designed for, and cannot support the current volume of houses never mind this proposed increase. The roads will not cope with the traffic now and it is dangerous and stressful even getting my car out of my own street of Penlands Crescent as traffic is often backed down front Colton Lane roundabout to the end of my street else it's the volume of cars in both directions due to Colton Lane being used as a rat run. Don't add more houses in an area that can't support the current volume and dont lose Colton historic landscape.

have to say this is like karma ! Most of the new houses at Colton where built on green belt . Time to put a full stop to any more been built and travellers ! The motor way was bad enough !!

Save the wildlife. There is far too much beautiful countryside being destroyed for more houses

How would the so called councilors like it on their doorstep, where are the wildlife animals going to live(how would the councilors like to have their family sqeezed out) you all should be ashamed of your selfs. Also people in colton lwork very hard to live in the area, and you want to build a gypsy site(whos gunna pay their council taxes to live in such an area. Its gunna cause chaos . its not a very good plan are you brain dead?

I've lived here all my life and I love this patch of nature. It is home to a few horses which I walk past daily.

Absolutely appalling plan the area is congested enough the schools are full and a gypsy encampment on that area will be terrible

We are not going to have any green land envy moor ridiculace hope if they build these houses they build a primary and high school too and as far as traveler site temple news am just is not the place is it

The investment would be put to better use within the city limits, on brownfield space or rennovating any of the myriad buildings that currently stand empty.

The proposed development is unsuitable to the area due to several factors including insufficient access and highways consultancy, ecological factors and the damage to surrounding wildlife and green belt land.

If the council in their wisdom are allowing occupancy on green belt area, why not use it for the elderly in Leeds who could be self sufficient in a lovely environment in caravans/lodges, similar to Garforth Cliff.
