Colton is a well preserved suburb of Leeds bringing value to the rest of the LS25 area. The allowance of travellers should not be allowed to this area due the amount of crime and dismay they bring

Absolutely distgusting. Its colton village not a shanty village.
Building such a camp site will create animosity and lower the villages nice reputation.

I oppose this based on the fact that the roundabouts on main routes out of the village struggle to cope at rush hr as it is and currently would not cope with any more traffic. I also have concerns re how the footpaths and bridleways nr proposed traveller site could be safely rerouted to allow continued use and enjoyment by all

i can't believe the council are planning a gypsy camp on more green belt land. This will create havoc too with build up of traffic which is really bad as it is!!

I have not & would not choose to live in Colton on the basis it was attached to a travellers site and I damn well sure I wouldn't have paid the inflated market value of my house if I had known this was likeky. I will most like always be in negative equity if this scheme goes ahead..My house is literally the 1st house it affects as I live at 18 mead road. I strongly oppose this.

Given the historical nature of Temple Newsam along with the scheduled ancient monument status of Grims Ditch which is within yards of the proposed site; placing any site within this location would pose a severe threat to integrity of Temple Newsam house and it's grounds.
The local infrastructure is not equipped to deal with a transient community and this would only add pressure on an already strained resource network.

Why are we building on greenfield sites when there are more than enough brownfield sites to build upon? Narrow minded short term solutions with no real sustainable impact for the future! Knee jerk reactions to housing shortage quotas is not the way forward.
