Mentalists!! No way would our roads cope! We don't need more housing. We need a road from Colton to crossgates/a64 to take pressure off ring road etc

I completely appose the travellers site at Colton Leeds. It's outrageous. I have lived in ls15 all my life and seen it grow and change for the better. This site will completely bring this sought after area down. A traveller site needs to be in an area far far away from any residential area. I feel sorry for the people of Colton who have This fight on their hands. I live in Leeds 15 and I don't want it as well as those living in Colton don't want it on their doorstep. My blood boils! I will do everything I can to help fight this. Words can't describe how angry and upset I am.

There should be no land issued to travellers. They do not contribute to the system so why should hard working tax payers provide for them

Build on the already demolished sites in South Seacroft which are already set for construction.

I think it would be a travesty for the Leeds 15 area, currently Colton is a sought after area, with a sought after fantastic primary school, this will only be damaged by the presence of a traveller site. Travellers promote values that are not deemed acceptable in modern society, it's acceptable to teach their children street fighting, to teach them that women are there to serve men, they shouldn't work, but stay at home and look after the house. That in itself shows you that the site will produce children who, through their cultural ways, will not be able to conform to the school rules of equality and zero tolerance of violence. Also, there mothers will not be working, as they aren't allowed, will they be able to claim benefits? Seeming as they will have a fixed address? Surely, we don't need anyone else sponging off the benefits system? Of course, people will say they are not all the same, but I would not like to hang around and see if it is true. After a recent stint of travellers arriving in Leeds 15, there was a huge increase in crime and disorder! Why should our residents be subjected to that?!

Not on green belt land!! Not on the edge of a beautiful stately home park. Not on the edge of an area of existing massive development. Not in an area that is likely to see a devaluation of houses that have taken people years of hard work to be able to afford

Lived in Colton 6 years. Work 45 hours a week to afford my house. These plans would decrease value of my house & probably put me in negative equity.

The traffic around that area cannot cope with more housing. And the gypsy site will also probably devalue the houses in the area too

I'm disgusted that gypsies would be sited near such a beautiful spot I'm a tax payer who's worked all my life and paid into the system and these people seem to get made out for who pay nothing rip people off doing jobs for cash if I wanted some land to put a caravan on I'd have to pay ground rent so no I don't want them living near ne

Why here when there is a massive area in Seacroft formerly the Askets which should be utilised. Oh wait, its not lucrative enough for developers. Keep off the greenbelt.

Colton, Austhorpe and Whitkirk primary schools are already massively oversubscribed. Do the council also plan on building another primary school too? Don't forget that Thorpe park already has plans approved for housing development too! Do public services not need to be in place before plans for more housing are approved?. I have lived in this area all my life, and we work hard to achieve this, if this goes ahead, we will seriously be looking at moving out of the area!
