This is an accident black spot and does not need any more traffic. It's a nice place to walk wth children, looking at the flora and fauna which would be ruined. It's also a fact that the crime increases with the introduction of travellers which is not welcome either to local residents, nearby villages and an already pushed police force

The area is already over congested at peak times and the local schools are full. The plans have clearly not been thought through and guarantee this will have a huge detriment to local property prices. Do councillors really want to turn Colton - a nice area into a "Colton Moor"? Halton used to be a nice area too.... This has to be rejected for all concerned

Appalled that Leeds council think it's acceptable to destroy an ancient undeveloped area of natural beauty in Colton that should remain untouched for our community to enjoy always .Its not just about preserving the trees and building around them.,the area needs to stay untouched .

Leeds is getting more and more like London-built up. People move to the edge of a town, to get away from the built up areas. Pay extra rates and council tax to live in these areas, then we have plans like this-no way.

absolutly appalling if you think this is the right thing to do. The road network through Colton is under duress now, and as a resident struggle to even cross the main road now. The village school would not be able to accommodate the children and the school has no room for development.

this is a cruel idea. peoples homes will go down in value. we have recently had travellers in our area for a couple of weeks and the crime rate went up, I'm not saying they where responsible but it did seem that way. there was also many fractions with people around the area too, i really think this has not been dealt with properly and strongly suggest this be looked at again

Colton Lane East is already a rat run for motorists cutting through the estate to avoid the traffic on Selby Road at peak times. Speed humps are outside the back of my house and the noise from traffic passing over the humps is horrendous.....traffic do not observe the 20mph speed limit. About time the authorities that look after our community monitor the volume of traffic that pass through Colton Lane East. Lorries park up and use Colton Lane East and use it for sleeping over night and taxi's use the lay byes to run their businesses. The fast food chains need to take responsibility for the collection of their rubbish and packaging that is thrown over into residents gardens attracting vermin into the community as well as causing harm and injuries to the horses and pets that help to make our environment s pleasure to be part of.

Houses are needed but only with greatly improved roads , doctors, dentists and schools. A gypsy site is never wanted or needed by hard working tax payers. If LCC build a gypsy site can they build a police station next door.
