Don't knows who's idea this is but it's very wrong

Green belt should be preserved.We already have inadequate school places and overburdened roads in the area.

Speaking as someone who went to the original Colton Primary when mostly the houses were just fields. All I can say is you've done enough. LEAVE COLTON ALONE

Colton has as much traffic as it csn cope with, being used as a rat run from the motorway and 165 houses, each with a potential of two cars, will put another 330 cars through the village. Green belt land is being swallowed at an alarming rate and Colton will become more like a new town!!! Please let Colton breathe! Or to be flippant, why not used fields of Templenewsam? That's Green Belt as well isn't it?

You cannot keep eating away at the green belt. I lived here when there was only 60 houses. It has been expanded over the years but is still a nice place to live. The roads etc are overcrowded now never mind with an extra 3 cars per household. There must be plenty of brown field sites available.

Ridiculous notion Colton cannot cope with more traffic and more people. Ruining the open aspect and greenbelt is appalling. Assuming the houses will be family house and not a retirement village is the school going to be made larger next as already a waiting list I believe. As for the gypsy site.... Speechless why there why not near the tip at the bottom of bullerthorpe if we really need one and never seen a group of only 4 or less caravans before you know it will be 400 shocking.

It is wrong to be using green belt land., the consequences for the area are unthinkable. Schools are already oversubscribed, road congestion is bad even before any more homes are built. Think again, listen to the people.

Travellers should travel....hence their name!They should not be given permanent residence anywhere,if they want this they can buy a house & pay council tax & a mortgage like the rest of us!

it's one of the most stupid things I've heard of it will de value houses around surrounding area and put elderly and vulnerable residents at risk of been ripped of with there building schemes let alone crime going up with these people around

Not enough school facilities in the area to hold anymore houses, and Colton is a lovely family area, therefore people do not want a traveler site.

Totally against the travellers site.

The local schools are already full so introducing more residents is insane! First the council should sort the schools,parks and local roads before adding to the problem!

Keep our green belt and protect our community from housing development and travellers.

Green belt land should never be built on to make way for yet another concrete jungle. This area is full of wildlife and is used by walkers and local schools for educational purposes. Traffic volume would be excessive not to mention the rise in air pollution.

Simply put, No! This would be a disaster for Colton and not only would destroy the lovely green belt land, but would put more strain on the surrounding roads. That can NOT cope already. Somebody needs their head testing!

whoever carried out a feasibility study on this and then continued to planning really needs to have a good hard talk to themselves
