Please think again before spoiling the tiny pockets of wildlife and nature in and around Colton.

It's irresponsible to add another 165 houses within Colton Village given its current occupancy, the school situations, road works and recent and historic road accidents/fatalities. Look else where to accommodate the housing and travellers. Save Coltons green land!!

I am strongly against a gypsie site in Colton .Just moved to the area. I would never have bought a house hear if l had known. Absolutely disgusted.

The east of the city lacks not only school places but also green spaces where children can play and a massive development like this makes temple new sum a park rather than a adventure to explore its openness safely for all.

Travelers site is a rediculois idea. Why there? Plenty of other places it could go that are 'out of the way' - they pay no council tax yet they get a nice place to setup home?

Colton/temple newsam is regarded as a 'nice' place to live. This will no longer be the case and house prices will fall if a traveller site gets the go ahead.

Colton is a quiet village on the outskirts of Leeds and it will be ruined if the open fields etc are but on

Shock at finding out about this on Facebook and I am the owner of Yew Tree Cottage, next to my sister at Vine Cottage. Are we the last to know... hemmed into the centre of 166 house development?
I know first hand about the congestion and problems with the road through Coton and the dangerous aspects of Colton Road East and Bullerthorpe Lane. Both of these roads have sadly seen fatal accidents in the past. There is too much traffic now with bottlenecks at every exit from the village during peak times. There isn't sufficient infastructure to cope with more building. Colton works well as a village and has adapted to the development over the past 25 years. But it is at maximum. Plus the proper development site is on green belt land with centuries of heritage attached.
My grandparents were farmers in the village and so we're my great grandparents. It's a poorly thought through plan. I feel very sorry for the young hard working families who have been led to believe that they were buying into a semi rural area with a village atmosphere. The stretch of land in question is what makes Colton a village. Take that away and you'll devalue it completely. Really bad idea. And such a shame that officials don't consult with residents. Very poor LCC.

Keep nature as it is intended. Green grass trees and animals. Lovely to see. Do not spoil by building on here there's plenty of other places.
