This area cannot take anymore house or a Gypsy Site In the last 6years we have lived here we have seen a huge increase in traffic from the last estate that was built and the industrial estate on Bullerthorpe Lane .Colton Lane is already being used as a rat run morning and evening

We don't want travellers near this beautiful area. Build it in Alwoodley, Adel, Moortown or Shadwell.

The area cannot take any more traffic. With the expansion of Thorpe Park the roads will be bad enough!

I am speechless! There must be little respect and no thought in the council. We cannot just keep 'adding-on' to housing on every green space in view. This is totally in ignorance of space and infrastructure, and its effect on the PEOPLE and children living, working and travelling through this area. Bullerthorpe Lane is a COUNTRY Lane. Enough of it has been abused recently, and already it cannot cope with the added congestion at both ends. Think think think!

Absolutely no way will this work!
The extra cars alone would gridlock the already congested roads. Overcrowd shops and schools!

This has to be a joke. So much traffic already in Colton and now you want to have a site for travellers too.

Typical labour council, not a care in the world about local residents of colton.

I strongly disagree with building MORE houses in the Colton area. It is a beautiful area, has beautiful surroundings and hard working people who pay their taxes. A Gypsie site would devalue our houses and coming from an area where Gypsies often frequent, I have experienced their untidiness (leaving dirt nappies wherever they go & more), their lack of respect for other people & their belongings (You cant leave ANYTHING in your own, closed garden), their rudeness to others...the list is endless. I completely disagree & cant believe the council would even consider building a gypsie site on such a historical landmark. Why would you do that? It makes you wonder what people, who are supposed to look after our country and people, are thinking and how they could think this would work or help the area of Colton. Its only going to drag Colton down like they do with everything else!

Hell no to this. Leave colton alone your ruining it by over crowding it. I don't want any gypsies near me. They are travellers so they should travel (far away). There's already been a huge housing site built. Stop clogging up our beautiful scenery.

I feel that the Protected Historical Monuments, heritage, wildlife habitat - nesting and living, local community should remain as is. Local schools are full to capacity already. Highways restrictions - access/egress/congestion issue, pollution issues. Decrease current local housing prices.

The traffic in this area is already bad enough. How will the roads cope with the additional load?
