While I understand the need for more housing, building a travellers site in an area like Templenewsam is a travesty

I have lived in this area for 65 years and I think it is awful to take more of our green belt away. I think I cannot believe that the council have not consulted residents about this. But I do think this is typical of Leeds City Council.

A gypsy site will devalue properties that people have worked hard to afford

This is a green belt area and should not be allocated for a gypsy site. It will spoil the beauty of our beloved park.

The introduction of a permanent gypsy site will devalue the surrounding private housing that people have worked hard to afford.

Say 'NO' to freeloading non tax payers who disregard normal working people doing the best for their families. Shame on you LCC for even considering the proposal. What an underhand, dishonest and disrespectful way to treat your council tax payers.

I cannot believe that there is to be yet more building in and around Colton and on beautiful green belt land too which is so rich in wildlife and natural habitat. This will add to the increasing problems of congestion experienced in the village which is already a rat run for commuters. Surely there are better sites less detrimental to both community and countryside.

Strongly object to a large traveller site being built in a heavily populated residential area. There must be many more sites to consider that aren't in residential areas.

This is a ridiculous plan. This land is supposed to be of historial heritage . Colton villiage over the last number of years has absorbed a lot of new housing and we have lost a lot green belt. The traffic through the villiage has increased enormously even with the recent 20 mph limit thishas done nothing to reduce the traffic or in some cases the speed of traffic. Any further new developements and/or travellers site will further depreciate the value of houses in the villiage especially Old Colton.

Yet again Leeds Labour council running roughshod over local residents.Let the council planning members put these developments in their back yards. All these developments are getting out of control.
