The proposed site is too near the houses.There is a lot of land near the link road near Knowsthorpe Gate and there are no houses.

I am totally opposed to the planned development in & around Colton. The village cannot sustain any more traffic or people. Roads, public services and schools are already over capacity .

I object to residents of Colton having their houses demolished to make way for this scheme. The gypsy site should not be put on Bullerthorpe Lane.

This plan will cause further congestion to Colton which is already used as a rat run for motorway traffic heading eastbound.

People who have lived in the area all their lives are having their children refused admission to local schools due to over subscription. GP surgery already full to bursting. The demand in the area already completely disproportionate to the supply. Ridiculous, ill thought out idea...

The council should be considering brownfield land for housing and permanent traveller sites. At the moment in east Leeds there a number of brownfield sites which could be regenerated. Skelton grange powers station for one. There have been numerous reclamations of such sites for housing. Yes it costs more than greenbelt however its reflected in the land value and is still viable. The council should put sustainability first.

Stop using east Leeds as a dummping ground for the things no one else wants

This will ruin our countryside. Get shut of our councillor for even considering this motion

Bullerthorpe lane is unsuitable for anymore traffic there is always a que coming into Colton. The proposed traveller site would be on green belt land and would cause a lot of extra traffic and disruption. The local schools are already full. Local doctors are difficult to get an appointment! Access to and from Bullerthorpe Lane is not adequate.

Green belt land being lost, traffic congestion & pollution increasing yet again, schools & Medical facilities already oversubscribed. Ruin countryside around stately home & historical monument.

Schools and medical facilities already over subscribed, roads already overcrowded in and around the area. More green belt being lost.

These plans are totally unacceptable. Please do not destroy our family orientated community and let common sense provail.

this is an area of green belt status with a high family population , it has already lost land over the years and to give an important area of land over to travellers in a highly populated area close to local schools and other area infrastructure is unacceptable , on the strength of seeing what such an undertaking has on such an area i strongly object to the plans for a traveller site in Colton village
