I cannot imagine the person I would be today without my elementary school library. Please please please rectify this situation. This is unconscionable.

My son & I both attended Tatem Elementary and both loved going to the library there. Our love of reading began in that library. Please don't deny future students that same opportunity.

I understand the need for space in a crowded building, but sacrificing the library seems harsh. Maybe there could have been another answer, like a library trailer on the property?

Our kids need to grow up with libraries!!! Too much time on video games and TV. Our society is going downhill!

Please keep the library. It’s a source of knowledge hard to replace.

I would rather have my child spend all day reading in a library than attend a school without a library and a qualified librarian!

School librarians are the backbone of literacy and curriculum support, a place for kids to find respite, sounding boards for colleagues! Their future should not even be a question...

School libraries and certified school librarians are essential to schools - often times this is a child's first and only exposure to books and reading. The library is the hub of the school building where learning, exploring and creating take place.

School librarians are essential for promoting literacy and reading comprehension, supporting classroom learning, providing alternate and additional resources for lessons, and creating a community space in schools. The loss of school libraries and librarians will reduce the quality of lifelong learning.

A school is not complete without a library and a certified school librarian to run it. Libraries and librarians are more than books. Take the time to find out what really goes on in you library by keeping and supporting the programs.

As a college student, I cannot fathom a community or group of educators that do not value libraries and librarians. Connecting students to resources and reading is instrumental to EVERY child’s growth and development.

Librarians are very valuable to help develop life long readers in our schools. Also librarians help our students with research and develop research skills.
Please do everything possible to maintain childrens' access to knowledge.
