CollegiateLink is a site used by Clubs and Organizations at the Community College of Baltimore County to showcase their upcoming events and club meeting dates. Unfortunately the site is underutilized because a lot of students don’t know about its presence or purpose. We believe that making CollegiateLink more visible on college media such as the Home Page or Blackboard will hopefully increase student involvement and also make students more aware of the clubs and organizations on campus.

I am currently reaching out to the IT department to discuss better placement for the link. Visibility remains our biggest obstacle.

Involvement with student groups and campus events is a great way to build a sense of community on campus and help students find the support they need to successfully complete their degree at CCBC. Increasing visibility of college events and groups will facilitate student involvment, retention, and success.
As an Essex faculty member and former advisor of a Student Life organization, I highly support the recommendation to expand the visibility of CollegiateLink on our college website, sub-portals and in Blackboard. CCBC Phone Ext. 1420.

Improving communication within and between clubs can only enhance the CCBC student experience.
I like the idea. I recentlt knew about the clubs I wish I knew better so I could be more involved with school programs and opportunities
As faculty advisor to the Essex Rainbow Club, I favor any actions that can bring more visibility to the co-curricular activities of clubs and organizations at CCBC.

As the faculty advisor for an SGA club, we have had to resort to Facebook and direct email lists to get the word out about our events because students just can't find and don't know about Collegiate Link!
