Final supporters
The Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School is moving and the Campus will be sold. This iconic campus is a Rochester Landmark and deserves to be thoughtfully redeveloped.
The current development proposal does the opposite. Building two sixty foot apartment buildings that will tower over the historic buildings and neighborhood will destroy the beauty of the Campus skyline. Construction will endanger the stability of the steep slopes to the north and ruin the site line from the south. Adding over 100 apartments, offices, a hotel and banquet center will decimate the aesthetic of what has been a unique and dignified religious institution.
Tell the City Council that there needs to be a better, more thoughtful plan that will better meet the needs of this tremendous asset to Rochester! It’s important that your voice is heard! Without your help, the Divinity School campus will be lost as we know it.
Tell the council to vote NO to this planned development! It Doesn't FIT!

My home has been in Rochester Divinity area my whole life..let the beautiful building stay untouched and use some of the empty lots and building around the area instead of destroying history and more nature.
One of Rochester's most precious possessions is its architectural heritage. This short-sighted development plan would sacrifice a public treasure and established source of civic pride for (the uncertain prospect of) private gain. It's a terrible trade-off. It must be stopped.
We are not opposed to development although 5 story Apartment BuildingS do not FIT. Plus the developer plans to remove 50% of historical trees. The CIty has IGNORED all residents concerns which is very disappointing.
I want to be sure to mention that the intersection of Goodman and Highland is like the entry to Rochester and it’s lovely and green. The plans include clearing many trees and putting buildings where they are visible from and detract from the beauty of the intersection.
Such short sightedness on the part of the city to approval development of this land as if it were just another abandoned parcel near 490. This is an historic and important piece of land and set of buildings. Surely it is more deserving of a used car salesman building blocky apartment buildings.
Another bad proposal for the Highland Park neighborhood (that the university has nothing to do with?)

I am totally opposed to the current development proposal. It is a desecration of this historic site. Cutting down trees, excavating a glacial moraine, and building more than 100 apartment dwellings will forever damage the site and the neighborhood. There needs to be a better plan.
