The Eastnet coffee house will be a welcome addition to the seafront and the owners have clearly planned the lighting sympathetically.

I fully support the proposed signage, we have to attract and provide facilities for, visitors to the Eastney end of the seafront.

As a customer who has used this wonderful facility for years and who grew up in Eastney, I have seen the welcome presence of "The Coffee Cup" as a real asset to the Sea Front at Eastney. I am old enough to remember the small cafe that used to stand where Eastney tioilets are now and I have seen the area run down to almost nothing and then start to come back to life thanks to the enormous hard work put in by the Coffee Cup over years. I have been at their stand with horizontal snow falling, sipping at a warm coffee and welcoming the facility. It is a great shame that some of the people who now reside in the area do not appreciate what they have in the way of small businesses. I think that the proposed illumination is perfect for the site and wholehearteldy support this application.

I am in full support of the Coffee Cup planning request for illuminated signage, especially the unobtrusive nature lighting system proposed which appears sympathetic to the sea front environment in highlighting the welcoming presence of a friendly cafe.

I really can't see a big issue with the signs being illuminated for a small period of a 24 hour day. The type of sign that Coffee Cup has gone for, is one that contains a couple of bulbs spread out through out the entire sign, therefore only giving a slight warm glow to each letter. Not the type of sign that a company like Tesco for example has, where each letter has a dedicated large coloured bulb that gives out a bright coloured light per letter. I'm assuming this is what the objectors seem to think Coffee Cup have installed??! Coffee cup always try and be as delicate as possible with all their decisions and try to take other members of the publics views on board. You canot please everyone but I really think this has been blown out of proportion and to have 5 objections on a light that hasn't even been switched on yet is ridiculous and causing yet more delays, (which is one of the things the public have been commenting on!) I hope common-sense prevails on this when taken to committee and look forward to the opening of what is sure to be a brilliant destination on the seafront!!

I am in full support of the Coffee Cup being able to illuminate their sign. We should be supporting our local businesses to help bring customers and revenue to the area. This business should be able to highlight to passers by that they are open for business. I support this fully.

It makes sense from not only a brand identity point of view, but from a safety one too. There would be no sensible reason to be against lighting, especially when Coffee Cup are being so considerate already to the local area.

led halo illumination that is subtle and on during opening hours would not be detrimental to the area at all. The coffee cup is bringing interest and life to what is a dilapidated sea front area. The coffee cup will drive interest and in the area and enable people to sit and enjoy the views. I fully support this application.

I believe that a small bussiness in this area needs to be illuminated due to the location, the coffee is great the service is great they need to footfall to make this shop work. Which is great to have on the seafront
