The current condition of the Cock Inn is a blight on a beautiful village and, as it stands, a tragic loss of a community asset.

This building is in such a prominent location within this vibrant village, to loose a social amenity which has real potential feels scandalous. The uncertainty is obviously frustrating & the neglect demoralising.

Lets look to the future of the village. A village without a shop or a pub!! And an eyesore. Estate Agents cannot sell properties in Combe stating village with a pub! Its also a fantastic way of meeting people.

As the last amenity in the village, it is vital it is reopened.

Very disappointed in what’s happened to the pub, used to go down 3 or 4 times a week and was an important part of our social life

What all should be proud of as a quintessential English village it is currently blighted by a building which is rapidly becoming derelict, a safety hazard and what could be the community hub that the villagers have been crying out for in recent years.

This used to be the heart of the village. Churches, schools and PUBs are crucial to village life.

Such a shame too see this pub left abandoned with no intentions.
Was such a lovely pub people always there.
Now it’s just an eyesore right in the centre of the village, leaving everybody wondering when and what’s going to be done about it.

I've lived in the village for 11 years and the pub has been mismanaged the entire time. I really hope it gets the TLC it deserves in the near future!
