It’s very sad to see such a beautiful pub, boarded up and empty.

Would be great to see something done with the pub or at least some inkling of any plans for the future.

This village community desperately needs its pub to be operational on a daily basis ands not allowed to rot away

It’s such shame not to have a pub in the village.

The pub has been allowed to degenerate into an eyesore rather than a feature of the village. It implies there is little respect for the the villagers or the environment.

It has been an excellent pub in the not too distant past though the latest incumbents had no idea how to run a pub! It has so much potential in the right hands.

Fully support this effort to show how much the current state of the pub has impacted the local community. Please take responsibility for your property and your actions, owners.

It is disgraceful how this building has fallen into such a state of disrepair. Combe needs a pub.

It’s a crime that our pub is being left to rack and ruin. Please refurb and open it or sell it to someone else that wants to open it. The village needs a pub and it would be supported by most villagers.

n a village wrapped in mist and song, Where days are quiet and nights are long, There beats a heart that’s grown too still— A pub, dear friend, could cure that ill. Raise the shutters, light the flame, Hang the sign above the name, Bring the ale, the laugh, the cheer, And summon all who wander near. A place where stories braid and blend, Where stranger quickly turns to friend, Where old ones sip and young ones dream, And troubles drift like mist on stream. The farmer, weary from the plough, The teacher with the furrowed brow, The lonely soul, the singing bard— All need a place to drop their guard. A fire’s glow, a fiddle’s air, A sturdy chair, a willing ear— These simple things, these gifts you give, Are where the heart learns how to live. So open wide the timbered door, Let laughter spill across the floor, A village pub’s not just a place— It is a light, a warm embrace.

It is time for a solution to be found for the Cock Inn, which is Combe's only pub.

We need a village pub - it is very damaging to village life having it boarded up
