This needs to be sorted. My daughter has been sick and disabled for over 10 years. No government in Australia hS done anything significant to help her because they have blindly followed what the Cochrane has outlined as the best science. There is a serious problem here.

“Transparency, open debate, criticism and expanded participation are tools that guarantee the reduction of uncertainty of reviews and improve the public perception of the democratic scientific process.“ I support this initiative for the improvement of Science and Democracy. I am not a Cochrane fellow, just an Archibald Cochrane follower.

I strongly support these policy issues. Most pertinent, for mine, is the issue of open access publishing. Further, in increasing the involvement of corporate members, I feel there is scope to expand the reach of Cochrane into discipline areas of need that are not serviced at this time (e.g., sports science and sports medicine).

This is the only way Cochrane can restore it’s good reputation. We need transparency and we need to be able to criticise each other’s reviews in order to ensure high quality of evidence

Cochrane CEO Mark Wilson must leave now and the rest of the board must leave too. Peter Gøtzsche should be invited back into the Cochrane Collaboration.
