My stance is that. COB. Is basically a state university. In some countries its free to attend it. Ie. Mexico and more recently Germany. If we are to progress as a nation our people must be educated formally on the tertiary and graduate level. The national budget must be balanced and transparency and accountability for all government officials must be firmly implemented. Cicero said it better than i ever will. What we are experiencing is a symptom of a much larger issue. I do not agree that my fees should increase when on amy given day i can find 10+ government cars on the road after 9pm. And parked up at churches in Sunday. I see no reason why my fees should increase when government is renting most of the buildings its ministries are in. Education is impowerment. If we are making this thing out of reach then what.? A few years from now Michael Clarke,MBA CEO of Toms Cali. KyShaun Miller, Psy.D, PhD Dean of Faculty of the School of Social Sciences at UPenn. And the list goes on and on What is left for the Bahamas. A tourist destination where the natives USED to live.?

Its tragic to see all of the rises in prices. So they cut the money for COB during a tough time as this and the result to increase prices.m while classrooms have no ac and no soap or handtowel in the bathrooms wow.

How can you increase tuition when the service is beyond poor. You can't put lipstick on a pig and call it a queen!

This is totally ridiculous, it's hard for me as a single parent to pay my tuition fees as it stands now. If fees go up I'm going to have eventually drop out of college because I won't be able to afford it at the rate they going. I'm willing and determined to get an education but what they're hiking the prices to will hurt not just me but everyone one who are making sacrifices to better themselves or there children lives

how can you throw this increase at us, the students, when there are no visible improvement in the services provided?! first there was the increasement of fees a year ago. this semester that was the implementation of VAT, and now the increasement of tuition?! I understand that the college is just trying to make ends meet considering the government has withdrawn financial support. thus i say we lay the blame at the feet of the officials in charge and DEMAND an alternative solution

This is too soon. V.A.T was just implemented. I haven't got adjusted to that as yet.

I am against the raise of tuition. First you throw VAT on us and now doubling the cost of tuition, this is dead on wrong! These are tough economic times and people are struggling to pay fees as it is. COB/the government obviously don't care about education nor believe in Bahamians!
