NO. This should be a memorial open to all the people of Cobh, The Greater Island, and those across the world who want to pay their respects--RESPECTS, not monies. PRESERVE AS IS AS A MEMORIAL, NOT A CASH COW!

No way should they be allowed to do this to our promenade and block off the view of our beautiful harbour.

This proposal is wrong in just about every way. Why not just renovate the pier and let people walk on it, as emigrants did?

The pier has a heritage, the town has heritage, the promenade has heritage. This proposed development achieves nothing of value to the people of Cobh, nor to the memory of those who left from Scott’s Pier.

The councilors need to step up to the mark.A simple decision for them to make,They either represent the people that voted for them to be councilors,or they are going to go against the wishes of the majority that voted for them. A very simple Yes or No to the planning in favor of private enterprise will nail their colours to the mask.We can than decide who truly represents the majority of the voting public honestly.

If the council don’t back the people now they will hang a bill of €100,000 around the community as as judicial review is the only option left to oppose this wrong decision. The councilors were elected by the MANY NOT THE FEW

Our promenade belongs to the people of Cobh and only them the restoration of the pier to its former glory would be welcome.

Viewing the pier, even from a distance was an overwhelming experience. To have that view overshadowed by that horrid monstrosity would be disrespectful to the memory and history of the site. If anything is to be done with the pier, it should be restoration and or preservation.

It is a disgrace that this is even being considered. A public park is not private land to sell. This will distroy Cobh and should not be done. I am 100% against ths planning
