President of NY Alumni Assoc, ECSU Sports Hall of Fame inductee, First female High School Football Coach NYS, Head Coach/General manager/Owner of Panthers Semi-professional Team...Championships acquired at all levels coached.....ECSU's finest!
Is that not worth at least a phone call?......You hired 2-32!

I know nothing of ECSU's hiring practices but I have played professional and collegiate football and can attest that Coach Slade would be a valuable addition to any coaching staff. I believe that the outpouring of support you can see from this petition shows exactly how important she is as a mentor to her players.

With a stellar record on file why wouldn't a coach of such caliber not be considered.

I'm currently captain/coaching a competitive men's over 30 soccer team. We play against some of the best players I've seen in the league, and are the ONLY team with a woman- we are also in 1st place. Not giving an interview simply because you're a woman is sexist and ignorant- not to mention would easily draw a lawsuit out here in the great state of CA, where laws are made!

Coach slade is one of those coaches you will never forget. For me coach slade made an impact on my high school football career. Showed me the ropes when fighting in the trenches as an o-linemen and tackling the struggles in life. And not to mention, bringing out a winning attitude and winning season for our football team. Good luck to you Wylia slade! Love you!
