I'm a college all American db /NFL free agent / recent free AFL camp invite from NYC.!! I originally never knew how much a woman can know about the game until I played her semi pro team this past summer.. She calls the shots on her own and is well respected and loved by adult male athletes that played on the collegiate and pro levels already. She deserves an opportunity at least!

I feel that coach wylia should have an interview for the coaching job. She is a great coach and I have witnessed most of her games. And I'm not saying this because I'm her nephew , I'm saying this because she makes sure that her team is a great team. And there's not one year that she hasn't made the playoffs. So I feel that she should have an interview for the coaching job

It's obvious that you are qualified for the position, I would also like to know why you haven't been considered. I hate to make it a race thing but so much has been going on in the news/media seems like the school might not want to stir things up by hiring a black woman..........things that make you go hmmmmmmm.

Ive coached for over 30 yesrs on the HS and collegiac levels. I've coached with Wylia Slade at Westbury HS in the 90's. I've also watched her progress on the sidelines over the years. For any school, particularly a HBCU, not to offer at least an interview to such a qualified candidate, is a deplorable disgrace. As the administration continues its mission of recruiting student athletes and granting opportunities to those who are worthy, it should correct the "oversight" and let Coach Slade interview for a full time staff position. If she is not qualified to your standards, the have the temerity and fortitude to tell her why, and not hide and cower as you are seemingly doing now...
