Wylia is an AWESOME coach, leader and mentor. She goes above and beyond to bring the best out of her players and that is evident in her wins and the lasting relationships she has developed with her players.
I highly recommend interviewing her; you will NOT be disappointed.

I have known coach spade for 20yrs.. There is no one more qualified and prepared than her.. I have coached at boys & girls hs and pace university, and her skills are beyond mine. Give her a chance to show she can do the job we all know she can do...

She deserves an interview to be fair... BUT does she have collegiate coaching experience? Let's stop goin on emotions and be real. If she deserves an interview my mom does too. She a football fan with a masters degree.... My point is that any and everybody deserves an interview, but it's about being highly qualified for the job, and just coaching little league does not seem you ready to be a college head coach

Given the success of our prestigious alumni, it is shameful that there's not been an acknowledgement of receipt of her application for the coaching position. Wylia is alumni who has and continues to traveled from abroad (NY/NJ) since I have known her (1988). Wylia has always acknowledged ESCU in all of her success and has supported the university, students and its alumni. In my opinion, ESCU has been suspect in regards to alumni given consideration when applying for employment with ECSU. I feel that this issue directory contributes to the instability and lack of quality leadership at Elizabeth City State University. I strongly recommend hiring proud and ambitious ECSU Alumni who care about the progression and success of the students, it's staff & Elizabeth City State University.
