I covered many Lawrenceville games as a sportswriter in the 1970s. Ron Felling is no doubt one of the greatest basketball coaches of all-time. His many records speak for themselves. The man is a basketball genius. He also has done many things behind the scenes to help a lot of people. I know this because he did somethibg very wonderful for my dad when my dad was recovering from kidney transplant surgery 19 yrars agp. Ron Felling undoubtedly deserves to have the Lawrenceville gym named after him.

I don't understand why this hasn't been done already. As a graduate of a former North Egypt Conference rival school, Fairfield, it seems to me to be an easy decision to name the gym after Coach Felling.

All I can say is WHY NOT? I can't think of anything else Lawrenceville is known for except for the fine people who reside there. Lawrenceville BE PROUD of all these great basketball players and coaches we so cheered over the years!!!
