Coach García was someone I used to read about in the monitors sports section. I then had the pleasure of meeting Jerry Farias whom I eventually hired as my Chief Deputy as Hidalgo County Clerk. I learned firsthand as to what a great man this Coach really was. I had the opportunity to meet him in person a few years later and I was totally impressed as to his demeanor but more importantly how genuine he was as a person. I wish more coaches would focus on our athletes and mold them into young adults instead of just focusing on winning games and they would be surprised how they both go hand in hand. Thank you Coach for everything you did for our Kids!
