We should be honoring Coach Z for all the years of his achievements and accolades as head coach for Track and X-country- Shame on Terry Warsart! I believe this is civil right concern that should not be ignored.

I will never forgot the speeches Coach Z had with me and how he encouraged me to be more than I thought I could be. It had a huge impact on me then and an ever larger impact as I have gone through life and never settle for OK, but have excelled in everything I have done. Coach Z was much more to me and my teammates, please allow him to continue changes young lives for the better.

I am Tarcizio Rocha, class of 1997. I was a member of Hunter´s soccer team when coach Z invited me to join the cross country and track & field team. Under his direction I became a better athlete and even though I didn´t have much time for training due to work, he got the best of me. We went on for great victories and achievements. I strongly support coach Z in continuing his winning career as a head coach of Hunter College. Tarcizio G. Rocha from Brazil

Coach Z and all is his supports are here to advocate and defend the fact that he should be able and willing to leave as head coach as he chooses. I've personally been under coach z reigns as a runner and he always pushed me and the team to be succesful, persistent and dedicated. I grew passionate about running due to all of the countless hours, effort and pesona time coach z put in off the clock. Coach z has put so many years into Hunter athletic running success and due to this he has made the running program and hall of fame what it is. He should be entitled to leave on his own terms after decades of nothing less than dedication and pure honor and support to the Hunter athletes and athletic family. It's absurd and cruel that his very own Hunter athletic family of administrators are going behind his back to artfully craft him to exit. Coach z has earned the RIGHT to choose when he wants the race to end and he should always have the last word and step when he crosses that finish line.

I ran for Coach Z from 1988-1992. Although I was a walk-on and not recruited, he still treated as if he gave me a scholarship himself. Under Coach Z's direction, I have become a great student-athlete, winning MVP & MIP athlete in my freshman and sophmore years. I respect Coach Z as a man, coach and a genuine, humble human being. If the love of Track & Field is his passion, Why is it being forced from him? I stand strong in support of Coach Z continuing to coach, as long as he deems fit. Russell Anthony, Class of 1994

My name is Michael Wilson, Hunter College class of 1999. It was an honor to run for Coach Ed Zarowin while I attended Hunter College. Coach Z instilled in me values that were profound and life changing; hard work, dedication, commitment, loyalty, and teamwork. Coach Z's legacy not only encompasses Hunter College, but also CUNYAC, and the thousands of student athletes whose lives he touched. Please allow our dear and loved coach to continue actively coaching the team until he chooses to retire.

I am proud to be a Hunter College T&F Hawk. Coach Z is a great man and has done so much for young adults through the sport of track and field. He is the reason 30 years of Hunter College T&F alumni remain connected to the university. The involuntary exit initiated by the AD is a disgrace to the Hall of Fame coach and his legacy. Keep Coach Z!!!

He should be allowed to retire on his own terms with the dignity and respect he deserves.

I never truly ran track before going to Hunter and I wouldn't have spent my college career running had it not been for Coach Z, Coach Sid, Coach Clarence and the great people I've met since freshman year. Z really knows his stuff and has tolerated a whole lot with the teams over the years. He's been there way too long to be let go on a whim and it isn't at all fair.

Coach Z was a wonderful coach who dedicated his life to Hunter Track. When someone throws everything they have into something for the majority of their life, respect needs to be given to the individual despite any difference in opinion.

I love Coach Z because what i learned from him was to believe in myself in anything that i do. The intervals that coach Z had me do were so intense and i would always tell him i cant, and he would always tell me yes you can, and he was right. I was the most improved player on the track team over 4 times and ive never been so proud. He taught me that i can do anything you put your mind to. Coach Z is an amazing coach. His goal is to help students athletes not only overcome those obstacles through our races, but also use those lessons in our everyday life.
