Hofmann forest should not be sold as the future of Eastern North Carolina's water and environment is in danger and should be preserved for our children and grandchildren.

I am originally from Onslow County and still own property there. I would like to support the preservation of Hofmann Forest, keep it natural. For a long term solution, it needs to stay the way it is and be used by organizations that value the research and educational opportunities the forest has.

We need forests and natural ecosystems more than we need golf courses. Do not sell Hofmann forest.

If you sell this forest, thebowners will destroy it. If they tear down a forest so close to the water, the beach and coast line will erode much faster. With the sea level rising due to climate change, North Carolina cannot afford this. The world can not afford this. Please put the planet we live on before making an extra dollar.

The educational value of Hoffman Forest alone should be enough to protect it from development!

Please leave the forest alone. There are deer & bear living in it. Where will they go if you destroy it?
