Leave it alone, we dont need anymore stores, housing developments or anything. Let the animals keep their homes and let our children learn from this forest.

Save this forest for the public and future conservation. Consider careful, selective development for sustainable use rather than giving up this rare resource wholesale. This could be a world-class natural laboratory for all the UNC universities if it were supported and accessible. The habitat, game land, ecosystem services for water quality and carbon storage are probably unquantified and would stack up very well against a huge corporate farm.

Enough! It's past time to ruin our state's environment. It's time to cherish what little we have left.

Please, please, please don't allow the sale of this beautiful forest. The ramifications of a greedy man wanting to make hundreds of millions of dollars off of this land will have major ecological impacts for our towns, countys, water ways, beaches and also our wildlife. Please don't allow this. My family has been in Onslow County for almost 100 years. I was born and raised here. I love our beautiful forests, beaches, creeks and rivers. I love our diverse wildlife. I LOVE raising my kids here.

Is this some more of the crazy values that seem to be driving people in power and those with money seem hell bent of inflicting them on all of us.

Corn fields and a golf course -- pesticide heaven! Aren't we supposed to be "good stewards" of God's creation, but NOT destroy a beautiful forest, full of God's creatures, that deserve their habitat, for God's sake?! God help us, along with the fracking frackers, they're trying to destroy the environment!

Sir, I own 83 acres in Onslow County of which 60 are wooded. I have to put up with hunters poaching deer and other wildlife off of my land ever since I purchased this farm in 1995. If you go through with this sale and it is broken up into residential, commercial and agricultural land uses, there will be absolutely no where for the wildlife to go OR for the hunters and their families who depend on their meat for food to hunt. I don't think that the NCSU Board that manages this vital Natural Resource has thought this through and needs to take another look at this from another angle.
Thank you for taking the time to read my comment.

The sale of this forest will be an devastating loss to the future of our childrens children and to the necessary biodiversity we all depend on for life and to live.
