This is what I consider to be my "home ice". I've made so many friends coming here every weekend to play hockey. It would be terrible to see the rink shut down.

We live close to downtown Houston, and despite having 2 rinks closer to us, we prefer to have our kids learn to skate and play hockey in this rink. Not only do we go down for the rink, but many times when we are there, we end up stopping at local establishments after for food, ice cream, or at the mall for convenient shopping.

The rink was a factor in my decision to relocate to Houston from Colorado. Houston without enough adult and youth hockey programs is much less inviting to folks from icier places!

If necessary, i think the Rink should be converted to a NON-Profit and be subsidized by the Communities that utilize it. I am more than happy to volunteer my time to support the rink operations as necessary.

I've been playing in hockey leagues here since 2008, and take my daughter here for open skating. Would be sad to see this place close!

We lost our home rink Space City Ice Station, and it was really tough on all the people that played/skated there, I'd hate to see that happen again
