C’MON CITY OF SUGAR LAND - SAVE THE SUGAR LAND ICE AND SPORTS CENTER!!!

Because I'm at this rink so often, I also spend money at the mall, shops and restaurants nearby. Money that I would not have otherwise spent in Sugar Land.

Please keep it open!

Husband plays (or played) hockey here!!!

Within one week, there are probably more than a thousand skaters who skate at Sugarland Ice & Sports, not to mention visitors at open skating sessions. With the closing of Sugarland, it only leaves WillowBrook, Memorial City, and Bellerive. There you have it, the 3rd largest city in the US and now only 3 ice rinks! Unbelievable!

Save the Sugar Land Ice Center, the community needs the facility to reach kids.

Keep it open!!

Many local restaurants benefit from the draw of the ice skating rink and will no doubt feel the impact of the rink's closing.

I grew up at this rink and support it fully!

Houston has a long tradition in hockey and it would be a shame to see another rink lost.

PLEASE save SLICE!!!!!!

PLEASE help save the Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center! I'm one of the thousands of skaters who frequent the rink, and they come from all over town, buying fuel, groceries, and drinks in Sugar Land!

Please don't close down !!! Our kids and Girl Scouts have enjoyed the rink for years! And look forward to teen parties and grandchildren enjoying the facility!

You close this rink and you kill this town. Atleast lets us play a Closing Megabowl, Houston Tropics

My son plays hockey at this rink, which is close to where we live. If this rink is closed, we will be forced to take our business elsewhere, which means money filtered to another town! There should be some way that the city of Sugarland can save this recreational facility. Perhaps move the tink to the new theater/mall area that's being currently built? Organizations can subsidize the rink! Maybe move it to town square where many people visit/shop/play? Several of the more profitable rinks are located in a mall! Gina Miceli-Hoffman

Growing up, going ice skating was out of my realm of experience because the closest place was The Galleria, and my family simply could not afford to go to such an affluent area of Houston. My great nephew, 5 years old and Canadian/US citizen, just started playing ice hockey on a team after his father, hockey team player at SLICE, taught him how to ice skate. Within the last month, my great niece just experienced her first competitive ice skating at SLICE. The whole extended family enjoys watching the kids and dad compete at SLICE. I hope to enroll my triplet granddaughters in ice skating as soon as they are old enough. SLICE is located in a thriving area, which has seen exponential growth in the past 5-10 years. SLICE is the only ice rink available to so many in the southwestern part of Houston. I hope the experiences and skills children can attain at SLICE will be available for years to come! PLEASE keep such a valuable resource open and running!

I don't play hockey but this a much needed facility serving the Houston metropolis.
