Kids involved with ice sports have to travel enough as it is! Closing this facility will affect kids all over southeast Texas.

the ice rink provides an important service for kids and adults to learn and compete in figure skating and hockey. To my knowledge, there isn't another ice rink anywhere nearby.

SLICE is an important community within the community of Sugarland where people from every walk of life share a common interest in figure skating, ice skating and hockey; it would be a huge loss to the Sugarland and Houston areas

This truly impacts a large number of kids and their families for both hockey and figure skating. It is also plays a key role in the Interscholastic Hockey League for many families in the Sugar Land, Katy, Misssouri City, and surrounding communities at the Juniou High and High School levels.
