We need more rinks in the city, not less. The ice rink is a draw to Sugarland. I drive from The Woodlands just to play there.

Please, I don't want to have to drive to Memorial City Mall to play hockey.

Sugarland Ice Center is an anchor to the community, providing a resource for thousands of people including young families, disabled individuals, recreational skaters, figure skaters and a very large youth and adult ice hockey community. As a former collegiate and professional athlete, I can tell you that facilities like Sugarland can make a huge difference for today's youth who are challenged by so many distractions and influences. This facilities and its programs offer people both recreation, hope and a vehicle for the community to come together. Losing this facility would be a tragedy for Sugarland and the greater Houston Youth Ice Hockey community.

Some of the best ice in the area. Hockey players in Houston struggle enough to even find decent ice, and closing this rink would be incredibly detrimental to hockey in Houston.

There are enough teams in the area to support the rink being open. We need this ice and location. It would be very bad for hockey if we lose this ice.

Available recreation is important for all communities. Brings various groups of economics, racial and culturally diverse groups together.

The hockey players of Houston cannot afford to lose another building. What can we do to get this facility up and running again. Thom

The rink is a great community builder and gathering place that has allowed a great many to learn and play hockey and skate. It would be a shame to loss this asset. Please save the rink.

I've played since I came to Houston. Hockey is an important part of the community and has far reaching impacts on young and old alike.
