This rink & the hockey community based there was a huge part of my life when I was posted to Houston. I would hate to see this community resource be allowed to fold

We have had birthday parties, and we often come for Homeschool Day. This would be a great loss to us.

This place is the reason that I learned to play (and have continued for the last 19 years) Ice Hockey. It has allowed myself and many other to share their passion for the sport. The Aerodrome, now the Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center is not just a rink like a lot of other places around Houston...it's a community and more importantly a place that feels like home. I have made and kept some of the best friends in my life due to this place. Please keep this rink open so that others can share a positive and influential experience like myself along with tens of thousands of others. Taking Ice Hockey (and Figure Skating) out of Sugar Land would be like stripping Football out of Houston.

Don't shut down an integral part of the game in Houston. There are not many other rinks in the Houston area for us to play this great game.

I started my hockey career at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center when I was 12 years old. I continue to play in 2 adult leagues there 16 years later. I have met great people there over the years and I hope the rink stays open so others can have the same great experiences that I have had. Thank you.

I learned to skate at the rink when it first opened and continued to skate there until last week. I have learned countless lessons there through playing hockey, volunteer coaching, and working in the operations department. The rink is an important part of the community and the youth in the area. It would be a great loss if it were to close.

This closure would only be a detriment to the hockey and figure skating community; displacing our kids and the future generations of these sports.
Please reconsider.

The ice rink is such a positive place and landmark for the Sugar Land community and surrounding areas. If the rinks close permanently, it will devastate so many lives of all who work, train, coach and skate there. Sugar Land Ice Center is famous as the home of Olympic Champion, Tara Lapinski, and future aspiring skaters are being trained there by former Silver Medalist Pair Skating Olympian, Kitty Carruthers, and Silver Olympic Medalist for Men's Skating, Paul Wylie, as well as other significant coaches.
So many people are praying for a way for the skating, and the Ice Hockey community to be able to continue. Additionally, so many businesses in the area would be affected with the loss of all of the activity, and visitors, drawn by the Ice Center.
